Nike ID Air Force I Elephant print!!!

Feburary 1st, marked the return of the Nike Air Force 1 to Nike ID. I'm a big fan of Nike ID since I wear a size 14/15 US and its pretty hard to find forces in colorways I like. I own a lot of Nike ID's and once I saw that they were offering elephant print to the Air Force 1, I had to go in!

Playing catchup

I haven't posted in a while, but I'm pretty active on my flickR and instagram :) Make sure to follow me!

I heart 2000 Jordan XI's!

Nike Air Max 97 ID's "Kill Bill's" The way the colors were projected on Nike ID's were pretty bad back in the day. I did this pair to replicate one of my favorite movies, "Kill Bill". But as you can see the yellow I picked is actually neon green!

Restoration project: 2000 Nike Air Jordan XI Retros

While shifting through eBay, I found a seller with bad pictures of some Jordan XI concords. He only listed 2 very bad pictures, a vague description, and a Buy It Now price of $200. But I noticed he had the "Submit Best Offer" option on, so I sent him an offer of $80 for it. The Jordan XI model is one of my favorite shoes of all time (next to the Jordan IV military) and thought $80 for a rough up pair wasn't too bad. I used to restore a lot of Jordans years ago (Jordan 1-13) and thought these would be a good clean up. Here are the before pictures

As you can see, the mesh was very yellowed, had some stains on it, but the patent leather toes had no creases or cracks! There is one nick on the patent leather, but over all the shoe was in great shape. The insoles still had the Nike Air on the it, and saw a sticker of $19.99 on it. Sure I spent $80 on them shipped, but after I cleaned them up, I'm sure I can get $200-$250 for em :) I hit it up with 4 applications of RIT White Brightner, stuffed the toes, and used Magic Eraser on the midsoles. Here are the results:

Not bad at all, right? Up next is my brother's size 11 2000 retro's that he balled in! Stay tuned for the results!

Nothing beats a classic

Man Nike did it right back in the day. Dope concepts, clean lines, and high quality of materials. I have no idea how I was able to land these two, in brand new condition for less then $85 shipped. Like the saying goes, they don't make them like they used to.

Paint restoration and future projects

Well thanks to Nike's ugly vintage look they added to the dunk retros, I've decided to jump back in the painting game. For the dunks I stripped off the Navy paint and repainted. After taking these pictures, I stripped the vintage paint off the midsoles, repainted the threads white on the midsoles and will take updated pix in the day time.

As for future projects I had these pair of Air Force 1's painted 3 years ago. I just painted 1 shoe. I actually have a design in mind and hope to finish these shoes in collaboration with fOLDED inc. I'll keep you updated on this new project in the future.

Another day

Wrapped up editing another newborn set! I think I'm getting better at this. I'm learning a lot more about light and how to use and adjust it. I think that just comes with time. Once I get approval I'll post the newborn set up, but for now here are some kicks to hold you over.

I heart Nike ID!

I started customizing kicks, because Nike never made any dope colorways in a size 15. But now that Nike ID is around, there isn't much need for me to paint. I've gone crazy with the Air Max 1's, Air Max 90s (still need to post them), 180's(as well as these), but today I am bringing you the Air Force 1's! This Nike ID has the highest quality of materials from any Nike ID I've done, and they better since they charge about $190 a pair! The suede on these are super buttery and they leather is soooo soft! Combine that with a gum sole, and you got a classic looking shoe! Peep out the chenille yellow swoosh! Reminds me of those high school varsity jackets.

Kobe may be out, but his kicks are FIRE!

Sure people hate the man, but you can't deny his kicks. Just look how smooth the lines are on the 5's, the wood panel, the color, its just an over all dope shoe! Then you see the latest model, in m0th3rf&ken 3D! Joints are just so clean! These plus camo shorts, and a white tee= set for the summer. Peep out the my past posts on my growing Kobe collection.
