Nike ID Air Force I Elephant print!!!
Feburary 1st, marked the return of the Nike Air Force 1 to Nike ID. I'm a big fan of Nike ID since I wear a size 14/15 US and its pretty hard to find forces in colorways I like. I own a lot of Nike ID's and once I saw that they were offering elephant print to the Air Force 1, I had to go in!

Playing catchup
I haven't posted in a while, but I'm pretty active on my flickR and instagram :) Make sure to follow me!
I heart 2000 Jordan XI's!

Nike Air Max 97 ID's "Kill Bill's" The way the colors were projected on Nike ID's were pretty bad back in the day. I did this pair to replicate one of my favorite movies, "Kill Bill". But as you can see the yellow I picked is actually neon green!
Nike Air Max 90 ID "Playstation"

Nike Air Kobe V Rice colorway. This colorway goes extremely well with an Oakland A's fitted

Restoration project: 2000 Nike Air Jordan XI Retros
While shifting through eBay, I found a seller with bad pictures of some Jordan XI concords. He only listed 2 very bad pictures, a vague description, and a Buy It Now price of $200. But I noticed he had the "Submit Best Offer" option on, so I sent him an offer of $80 for it. The Jordan XI model is one of my favorite shoes of all time (next to the Jordan IV military) and thought $80 for a rough up pair wasn't too bad. I used to restore a lot of Jordans years ago (Jordan 1-13) and thought these would be a good clean up. Here are the before pictures
As you can see, the mesh was very yellowed, had some stains on it, but the patent leather toes had no creases or cracks! There is one nick on the patent leather, but over all the shoe was in great shape. The insoles still had the Nike Air on the it, and saw a sticker of $19.99 on it. Sure I spent $80 on them shipped, but after I cleaned them up, I'm sure I can get $200-$250 for em :) I hit it up with 4 applications of RIT White Brightner, stuffed the toes, and used Magic Eraser on the midsoles. Here are the results:
Not bad at all, right? Up next is my brother's size 11 2000 retro's that he balled in! Stay tuned for the results!

fOLDED Inc visits Tony.psd
This past week we had the opportunity to visit Tony.psd, one of the dopest graphic designers I know of. He recently moved back to San Jose, and know runs his own clothing line and graphic design out of Santa Clara.
Make sure to pay him a visit! My favorites are: Top Gun Pacman shirt and his newly released Sharks shirt with the 49er twist!
Stay tuned to see what comes out of Tony.psd's lab!

Nothing beats a classic
Man Nike did it right back in the day. Dope concepts, clean lines, and high quality of materials. I have no idea how I was able to land these two, in brand new condition for less then $85 shipped. Like the saying goes, they don't make them like they used to.

From the Bay to the Chi
This past month I was lucky enough to visit Chicago for work with one of my awesome students. We spent a week with our other chapters around the country staying at the University of Chicago, and learning what it takes to be a leader, public speaking skills, group dynamics, and the benefit of a higher education.

My first newborn shoot
I had another great opportunity to shoot my newborn niece baby Gabby a couple of weeks ago. Shooting newborns are very difficult because they are really unpredictable, you need to work with their feeding schedule, and I am still learning how to work with light. This is the first set, and hoping to wrap up the second set this weekend. For more pix, check out my flickr

Camera Porn!!!
Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile, but here's my new setup. Sold the Canon 50D and cropped lenses and now with the Canon 5D classic, 24-70L, 16-35L, 85mm 1.8. Also got a new stealth messenger bag for my gear. Got the bag from Amazon and the insert from B&H. Total was about $50.
